This brief discusses the refugee/migration crisis the Western Balkans now faces and how it is changing the way in which states from the region are dealing with each other and the EU. As the text's author sees it, the present crisis is compromising the region's economies and fragile democracies. It's also providing a clear wake-up call for Brussels to pay attention to the increased radicalization occurring in the area.
