This report summarizes the results of an expert meeting on the application of International Small Arms Control Standards (ISACS) and International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATGs), specifically in conflict-affected areas. The topics that are covered include 1) who uses ISACS/IATGs and where; 2) how these standards and guidelines are applied and the results they’ve yielded thus far; and 3) what prevents or influences the application of ISACS/IATGs in conflict-affected settings. The report also includes survey data on how practitioners perceive the security and safety control measures found in ISACS and IATGs.
