Since artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous systems (AS) are already acting as “disruptive technologies” in the civilian realm, it should come as no surprise that their influence is becoming more prevalent in the military domain. In response, this text focuses on the nonlethal applications of AI and AS, how they might impact nations’ military capabilities, and inevitably alter their command structures.
