The publication examines the effects of Russian investment in the Central Asian oil and gas sectors. The authors argue that increased energy exports, driven by Russia, will lead to economic downturn in the Republics. The report concludes that the suppliers are not meeting their own domestic demands as a result of Russian consumption.
