The publication examines the Central Asian countries bordering the Caspian Sea vying for control of the region’s energy resources. The author highlights the strategic objectives of Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. He concludes that negotiations between the countries have been hampered by conflicting aims.
