This publication examines a political crisis that unfolded in Ukraine as a result of the contested outcome of presidential elections. The author argues that the opposition's response to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold an appeal on the legality of the elections has resulted in the implementation of new tactics. One key objective is to enlist the EU in a process designed to split, exhaust and demoralize those who support the contested result. The publication concludes that the determination of Ukraine's authorities to remain in power overrides any need to be honest with honest brokers.
