The Defence Academy’s Research & Assessment Branch (R&AB) provides for the harvesting of ideas, expertise, experience and evidence relevant to defense and security from across a broad and multi-disciplinary field to provide relevant and timely research of high quality to the UK Ministry of Defense. The Central and Eastern Europe Series publications addresses security and political concerns in the former communist Europe, with a particular focus on developments in countries such as Moldova and Ukraine.
