This publication discusses the deterioration of relations between Ukraine and NATO, the EU and the US. The author argues that Kiev has adopted more discriminating and pessimistic policies toward these institutions and that Ukraine's growing deference towards Russia is as much a product of pressure from Moscow as it is due to internal setbacks and disillusionment with the West. The publication concludes that if relations and the path to further integration are to be restored, every opportunity must be taken and this depends on the West as much as Ukraine itself.
