This article asserts that North Korea´s increasingly defiant posture might provide an opportunity for a new approach to dealings and dialogue undertaken between Pyongyang, its southern neighbor, and the rest of the world. Indeed, the author highlights that South Korean President Moon Jae-in and a number of his liberal-leaning constituents now believe that an approach based on meaningful inter-Korean economic exchange might work to improve security, and allow for eventual moves towards peace and de-nuclearization on the Korean peninsula.
