This collection of monthly security statistics highlights the changes that have occurred in the MENA region since 2011. The data includes 1) a comparison of youth unemployment in 2010 versus 2016; 2) an update on the region’s demographic shifts; 3) a look at freedom of the press, again comparing the years 2010 and 2016; and 4) the adjustments that have been made in official European development assistance.
