On 18 January 2012, the Stanley Foundation – in partnership with the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the MacArthur Foundation – hosted a conference on the Responsibility to Protect. The conference reflected upon the past experiences and contemporary realities associated with this controversial concept, and considered what future prospects and challenges R2P might face.
