This issue of the Baltic Defence Review marks a change in the editorial line. The adjustment is not only caused by the fact that the three Baltic states have succeeded in being invited to NATO as well as to the EU and now have to adapt to the new situation. It is also based on the realisation that the two organisations will change their character when the integration of the new members takes place.
