Articles examine the defense spending of the three Baltic states, the military history of the Åland Islands in the context of post-World War Europe as well as NATO battle concepts and US Military doctrines regarding Libya. Articles further discuss the interaction between civilian and military components in wartime, ground-based air defense systems as viable solutions for small nations, traits of current tactical thinking in the Swedish Army and ways to combat piracy, especially in the Gulf of Guinea.
