This report looks at the evolution of the US Marine Corps, it's capabilities and missions. Specifically, it focuses on its view of “amphibious operations” and seabasing, i.e. projecting sea-based Marine Corps combat forces against enemy forces and operational objectives ashore; and on the the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), the organizing principle that shapes its thinking about organizational, conceptual, and employment matters.
