This commentary discusses Egypt's economic and political situation in the aftermath of President Morsi's ouster in 2013. The author argues that the return to a military dominated regime, which has set Egyptians violently at odds coupled with the critical state of the economy might lead to a civil conflict which will have repercussions beyond its borders.
