This report examines the state of labor mobility within the EU, including the existing barriers to it and how the EU can overcome them. More specifically, authors examine 1) labor mobility in the EU before and after the economic crisis of 2008; 2) the economic benefits of the freedom of movement within the EU; 3) how the EU can promote labor mobility; and 4) attempts by Germany to attract skilled workers from other EU states.
