The articles in this issue look at 1) Clausewitz’s concept of the Center of Gravity (COG) and its place in military theory and strategy today; 2) how to use military history in the education of military officers; 3) NATO’s nuclear weapons policy in Europe and whether to maintain tactical nuclear weapons on the continent; and 4) the reasons why the art of military operations came about and when this development occurred.
