In his testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, the CSBA's Andrew F Krepinevich describes the current threats facing the United States and argues that the need for a well-crafted defense strategy has never been greater. More specifically, he discusses 1) how revisionist powers, such as China, are engaged in military capabilities competition with the US; 2) the budgetary and resource challenges facing US defense spending; and 3) the acute need for a well-crafted US defense strategy as well as some examples of previous US defense strategies which this new strategy could be based on.
