The four articles in this edition of the CTC Sentinel examine 1) the evolution of the jihadi terrorist threat in East Africa over the last three decades; 2) the March 2019 terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, focusing on the alleged attacker, his ideological inspirations and his livestreaming of the atrocity; 3) the status of Islamic State-affiliated women and minors following the territorial collapse of the group in Syria, including the challenges this poses for the international community, and 4) the terrorist threat to Europe posed by individuals who were unable to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State. The volume also features an interview with Catherine De Bolle, Executive Director of Europol.
