Are Tunisia’s counterterror and countering violent extremism efforts dealing with the threats to peace and security in the country? This publication answers this question by drawing on the first-hand accounts of Tunisian citizens and officials, civil society organizations and others. Overall, the text's findings show that Tunisia’s existing security approaches could reinforce social grievances and inequality, undermining the country's stability. As a result, the text's authors recommend that the Tunisian government must rethink its security measures and do more to address the public’s hunger for meaningful reform.
