This paper documents the papers and speeches presented at the conference "The Security-Migration Nexus – Challenges and Opportunities of African Migration to EU Countries." It conceptualizes the security-migration nexus, presents case studies from Niger and Ghana and identifies three dimensions of international migration. Furthermore, it looks at stakeholders and protagonists in this field and comments on the importance of security.
