This edition of the Swiss Military Revue features 7 articles on assorted aspects of military power, six of which are in German and one in English. The texts specifically look at 1) embracing a policy of ‘changed regime’ rather than ‘regime change’ to help resolve the North Korean nuclear crisis; 2) prevailing geopolitical views on East-Asia and their implications for European and Swiss foreign policy; 3) the role of myths and legends as tools to build morale and support management structures within the military; 4) squad selection procedures and career development as a means for shaping leadership culture in the armed forces; 5) Karl von Clausewitz’s views on the complex dynamics of war; 6) the ethical consideration and socio-technical implications of lethal autonomous weapons systems; and 7) Europe’s supply of raw metals and the financial risks associated with both the emergence of alternate raw materials and fluctuating world market prices.
