This publication explores how organizations translate theories and ideas associated with preventing and countering violent extremism (PVE/CVE) into practical efforts to achieve their intended results in East Africa. More specifically, the text’s authors take an evidence-based approach to look at such projects´ objectives, target groups, activities, theories of change, evaluation approaches, donor organizations and funding in Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda.
