This paper focuses on the perpetrators of the August 2017 terrorist attack in Barcelona. More specifically, the author looks at what influence these actors’ family and community ties as well as extremist preachers had on their radicalization. She also outlines what lessons she thinks India should learn from the Barcelona attacks and recommends that New Delhi should consider monitoring religious sermons as a way to help prevent radicalization in the country.
