This paper looks at the current security status of the Ukrainian nuclear industry, primarily by looking at 1) the classic nuclear security threats it faces, and 2) those that exist from occupied/uncontrolled territories and from hybrid warfare. The paper’s author also reviews the ongoing efforts in Ukraine to improve its nuclear security and provides a set of recommendations on how to accomplish these ends.
