This issue of the Caucasus Analytical Digest examines social exclusion in Georgia and Azerbaijan. The article addressing Georgia examines perceived poverty and shows how it relates to participation in a wide range of social activities, as well as individuals' physical and psycho-social health. The article on Azerbaijan looks at the consequences of social exclusion for women, examining gender roles, division of labor and the participation of men and women in domestic and public life.
