This issue of the CAD deals with the protest actions which emerged in Azerbaijan in January 2013. Three articles describe the current protest actions, provide background information and assess the causes and consequences of public discontent. In addition the issue contains a press review on the current protests, a chronicle of protest actions over the last two years and results of an opinion poll dealing with the view of Azerbaijan's population on politics.
